State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI)

The STAI is used to measure anxiety in adults. A version is available for children. Helps distinguish feelings of anxiety from depression. The STAI Form clearly differentiates between the temporary condition of “state anxiety” verses the more general and long standing quality of ”trait anxiety.” The STAI has forty questions with a range of four possible responses to each (Likert scale).

Domains Assessed: Anxiety

Note: The STAI is administered to partipants ages 18+.
